The FLASH 36 has been on the market since 1989. This latest model has several new safety features, including: An automatic loading mechanism relieves tester operators from lifting heavy springs into the tester and reduces back strain.  A polycarbonate safety shield is backed by a steel mesh guard and a center locating rod prevents springs that break during testing from bursting out of the tester and striking and injuring a person.
