Engineering Spoken Here
We speak your language! Our mechanical and electrical engineers are on hand and ready to shepherd your parts through the manufacturing process. Using standard industry programs such as SolidWorks 3D, our engineers can download your CAD files, integrate them with our GibbsCAM system and transfer them to one of our CNC machines.
At LSI, we use 3D software to work with and view all of your electronic CAD designs. With design, order changes and improvements happening at a rapid pace, we have implemented a paperless system that sends files and designs electronically to the shop to greatly reduce quote, implementation, and production time. If there’s a problem, we know how to communicate with you.
Put our engineering department to work for you. If you need parts, but don't have them designed, we can help. Just contact us, and one of our representatives will get you started.
The Tools We Use
SolidWorks is a powerful design tool that we use to create solid models to transfer to our GibbsCAM system. We chose SolidWorks because of its large file compatibility, and its wide use throughout the machining industry.
Larson Systems also offers product development design services. Designs done with 3D software can be fit-checked and assembled in the computer before being built. This shortens the development cycle and ensures prototypes will function correctly the first time. SolidWorks provides our design team with all the mechanical CAD, design validation, and data management tools that they need in one package.
We use GibbsCAM to create the cutting paths for our CNC mills and lathes. With GibbsCAM, we can program your parts from an electronic solid model created in almost any of the current design software packages. This saves us time and money and ensures a high degree of accuracy. With this software, we are able to use a variety of tooling, speed and feeds to create the optimum operation before machining begins.
Supported File Types
We can work with the following file types:
- All SolidWorks file types
- All Pro Engineer file types
- All AutoDesk / AutoCAD file types
- .igs / .iges
Other file types may be supported; just ask us and we'll take a look at it!
